Can you say that an event is a must see after just one year? If it’s the Second Annual RemFest, you sure can!

know this is a fact because I was lucky enough to attend RemFest’s inaugural event last spring, and after spending the day eating great food, listening to fantastic local bands and chatting with local businesses, I made a mental note to watch out for the 2019 version.

Well it’s here, and if you don’t have plans on Saturday, May 11 (and even if you do), make sure you spend some of the day at RemFest 2019

Hosted by The Greater Remington Improvement Association (GRIA) and several Remington-based businesses, RemFest is a free neighborhood street festival running from noon until 9 pm. That’s right: no admission, no cover charge. Bring your partner, friends, children and dogs because everyone is welcome and there will be lots to do along 28th Street and Remington Avenue.

There’s a great band lineup on the main stage featuring local talents like Soul Cannon, Jacob Panic, Cowabunga Pizza Time and Outcalls to name just a few. Plus, there’ll be a closing dance party with DJ Rob Macy of Save Your Soul, for those who like to close a place down.

There’ll be no need to bring your own food with The Local OysterThe Dizz and Charmington’s, among others, on hand to satisfy your hunger pangs. You’ll be able to grab a beer from the official craft beer sponsor, Union Craft Brewing, or a springtime cocktail from R. House.

And speaking of R. House: the R. House garage will have family-friendly events like games, movies and programming by Mission Fit. Meanwhile, you’ll be able to grab some great local art, jewelry, clothes and other surprises from the Baltimore artisans and makers that will line the street.

“We were astounded by the response to last year’s inaugural RemFest and are thrilled to host it again this year,” said Pete Morrill, Remington resident and GRIA board member. “This festival is about showing people of all ages what Remington and Baltimore have to offer and putting together a great time in the neighborhood that we are proud to call home.”

What could just B more fun?
